Setting the Captives Free
“So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.” - Acts 12:5
“Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I know without a doubt that the Lord sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were anticipating.” - Acts 12:11
Keep praying. For something big to happen - something God sized.
“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners” - Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18
The Korean hostages are physically held in bondage, but their captors are held captive in darkness by sin. Pray for their release.
